Today as I had a few minutes to take a little break, I thought I would go and see if anyone was at Creek More Park and there was a few people so I prayed that the LORD would lead me to anyone that the LORD wanted me to talk to and as I was handing out some Million dollar tracts I seen a man sitting at one of the Gazebos so I thought I would see if I could talk to him and as I asked Rick (is his name) if he had ever got one of these ( the Million Dollar tract, he said yes he just got one last Friday on the 4th of July at the Mayor’s Fourth of July Celebration.
So I asked him if he was going to Church any were and he said not right now, but he use to and he had been praying to GOD and asking him some Questions.
I told him I felt like the Lord wanted me to talk to him, and he said thanks he could really use a friend right now as he has no job and he just had someone he knows die just awhile back.
So then I asked Rick what does he think happens to a person after they die?, and he was not sure, so I told him that, 1st the Bible says we die because - a soul that sins it shall die - so we die because we have sined and I told him that the Bible says that in 1st John 3:4 the Bible tells us that sin is transgression of the law. which means we broke GOD's LAWS.
So I asked him if he thought he was a good person and he said yes he was.
Then I asked him if he would like to take a little test the see if that was true and he was sure, so then I took him thought around 5 of the Ten Commandments and asked him if now did he think he was a good person in GOD's eyes, not in man's or the world's eyes, but GOD's and he said not with tears in his eyes, and said well I try asking GOD to forgive me, well that's good I told him we should repent, which I told him means confess and forsake sin, and it was like if I wanted to go to the Mall, but was heading the other way down to road going to Garrison going the other way and I saw 10 signs telling me the Mall is the other way, but I just keep going the wrong way to Garrison would I ever get to the Mall, and he was no I would not.
I also told him to now put him self in the Court room and if he tells the Judge he is sorry will the Judge just let him go, like lets say you did something really bad and you tell the Judge, I'm really sorry Judge and the Judge says " well you should be sorry and I see that you are, but I still have to have justice for what you did, you will have to be punished. So I asked him what can he do for himself and he said there is nothing I can do.
I said that's right, so I asked him do you know what JESUS did for you? and he was well he died for my sins, I said " right but what does that mean to you " he said I don't know really.
Now lets put yourself back in to the court room Rick, ok, "sure" said rick.
What I believe happen over 2000 years ago was like a legal transaction, JESUS liked walked into your court room and said he would take your punishment in your place for you so you could go free, That's what JESUS did on the Cross and he did more than just die on the Cross he had to suffer, because God hates sin so bad, because GOD is so Holy, Holy, Holy.
And now all he has to do is repent and put all his trust in what JESUS did, knowing that there is nothing he could do for himself.
Faith in JESUS CHRIST and JESUS CHRIST alone.
Then I asked him if he understood what I said and he was yes now it all made since now.
And after we talked for awhile GOD blessed me with seeing Rick repent and putting his trust in Our LORD and SAVIOUR. PRAISE GOD!! and let all the GLORY go to him!!
Then the other blessing was after that he showed me a letter from his 10 year old daughter that she had wrote to him about JESUS and that she was praying for him.
A 10 year old daughter's prayer to GOD was now answered!!
THANKS JESUS!!
