Salt and Light
It is time for the Church to stand up in newfound courage, not only to
defend ourselves, but to
attack the enemy. We can so easily become distracted in a tangent of social work, and ignore the task of evangelism. But we are told to be salt
and light. Salt has the ability to preserve and light shows the way in the darkness. We should not have one without the other. Certainly, we must speak up about issues such as abortion and other important moral issues. But to refrain from preaching the Gospel is to point to the wound without supplying the cure. The Bible says, "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them."(Ephesians 5:5) And the way to expose them is to preach the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ. The time to do that is now. There goes another minute. Gone
forever. Go share your faith while you still have time. -
